TMJ & jaw pain / Otsego, MN
If your jaw aches in the morning, clicks when you chew, or feels tight by the end of the day, you’re not alone. At ChiroFix in Otsego, MN, we treat TMJ and jaw pain by releasing the muscles that pull on the joint, including the deep ones most people never get treated.
The basics
Your temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, sits right in front of each ear and lets your jaw open, close, and slide side to side. A group of chewing muscles moves it, including some you can feel on your cheeks and temples and some tucked deep inside the jaw.
When those muscles stay tight from clenching, grinding, stress, or posture, they can pull the joint out of its smooth path. That’s when you get soreness, clicking, and trouble opening all the way.

About acupuncture20 / 30 / 60-minute visits
Jaw pain is rarely just about the jaw. The neck, temples, and upper shoulders are usually involved, and treating them together makes the relief last.
We book 20 minutes for one or two areas, 30 minutes for three or four, and 60 minutes for the whole body, so there’s time for the jaw and everything connected to it.
We help people with jaw pain and clenching from Otsego, Elk River, Albertville, St. Michael, Zimmerman, Ramsey, and Rogers, with weekend appointments available.
